Sudden damage
Sudden damage happens quickly and unexpectedly – as opposed to damage that builds up gradually through wear, rust or lack of maintenance. Many policies only cover sudden damage, so it’s important to be able to document when and how it happened.
Examples
A hose bursts and floods the warehouse – that is sudden damage. A roof that has slowly rotted is not.
