Liability

Liability is the legal obligation to pay for injury or damage you have caused to other people or their property. Under Danish law you are generally liable if the damage results from negligence or a mistake. Liability insurance covers the liability a business may incur.

Examples

A carpenter leaves tools on a staircase and a customer falls and breaks an arm. The carpenter is liable because it was careless.
