Building insurance

Building insurance covers damage to buildings the company owns, for example from fire, storms, water damage and damage to installations such as electricity and heating. It can also cover utility connections, and fungus and insect damage as add-ons. If the business rents its premises, the landlord usually holds the building insurance.

Examples

A storm tears off part of the roof of the company’s warehouse. The building insurance covers the repair.
