Directors and officers liability insurance

Directors and officers (D&O) liability insurance protects a company’s management if they are held personally liable for losses caused by errors, omissions or poor decisions in their management role. It covers both compensation claims and the legal costs of defending against them. It is relevant for directors and board members in companies of every size.

Examples

A director decides to expand the product range but overlooks a safety issue in a new product. A customer is injured and a claim is brought against management. The insurance covers the legal costs and the claim.
