Loss adjuster

A loss adjuster is a specialist the insurer sends to assess the extent, cause and value of a loss. They determine what needs repairing or replacing and what it will cost. Their assessment forms the basis for the settlement of compensation.

Examples

After a fire in the workshop, a loss adjuster visits to assess which machines can be repaired.
